Members of the VIA Rail Canada Pensioners’ Association now have the possibility to reserve hotels through Choice Hotels, Canada’s largest lodging chain with over 270 hotels coast to coast. Seven distinct hotel brands are offered at different budget levels providing our organization with more lodging choices than any other hotel chain in the world. Based on the size of our Association, Choice Hotels is pleased to offer their Significant Organization Savings (SOS) rate program with discounted room rates that range from 15 to 20% off applicable rates at participating Choice locations worldwide.
How to access the SOS rates worldwide:

In the “Book a room tab: Enter the name of the city in the “Search by location or Attraction”, the Check in Date, Check out Date, number of Rooms, Adults and Children. Enter the association’s I.D. 00064692 in the “Client ID” then click the “Search” button.
The Association’s “Welcome” page will appear. Choose the “Significant Organization Savings” option and click “Continue”. Your SOS rates will appear in the “Hotel Results”, the choice is yours and proceed with the reservation. When you are through, don’t forget to “Log out”.
To ensure you are receiving the correct rate it is important to make advance reservations. Then, when you arrive at the hotel which you reserved, just show your valid membership card for the current year and you are eligible for the special rate. It’s as simple as that!
